Owner | Landscape Designer | Horticulturist
Australian-born Canadian landscape designer Iain Wilson is the Principal of ISW Landscapes in Vancouver, BC. He studied Garden Design and Arboriculture in Boston, MA graduating summa cum laude and furthered his horticulture studies at Kwantlen Polytechnic University graduating with Distinction.
With a true passion for design and horticulture, Iain’s signature planting style reflects thought, respect and process with meticulous consideration to each site and its architecture. His design philosophy allows the creation of elegant, bespoke spaces using sustainable design principles that show restraint and balance between the built and botanical form.
Prior to his career in Garden Design, Iain was a successful international wines & champagne ambassador working in Australia & New Zealand, China, Cambodia, Hong Kong and the United States. It is this international experience that he brings with him to client interaction and design.
Iain believes strongly in giving back to the industry as an instructor at Burnaby Community & Continuing Education, as a member of the CNLA Design committee, BCLNA Landscape Advisory Group, Provincial and National Skills Committee and as a judge for the BCLNA Awards of Excellence.
